Same 3.5 Gbps IDS/IPS gateway; the SE adds 180 W of PoE and a 2.5 GbE port
Our verdict
Both are 1U UniFi gateways with a 10G SFP+ WAN, a 3.5 Gbps IDS/IPS rating, an NVR drive bay and support for 100+ UniFi devices. The UDM SE adds a 180 W PoE budget, a 2.5 GbE port alongside its eight Gigabit ports, and a built-in 128 GB SSD. That PoE can power access points or cameras directly from the gateway, which may save a separate PoE switch in smaller racks.
